New Orleans Sculpture Garden
Next to the New Orleans Museum of Art—the city’s oldest fine arts institution (opened in December 1911)—is the gorgeous Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden.
Recently expanded from its original 11 acres, the Sculpture Garden’s paved pathways and bridges meander around a landscape of oak trees, magnolias, two lagoons, pines, plants, and flowers. With nearly 100 sculptures—bronze, stainless steel, glass—the garden is peaceful. Thought-provoking. Beautiful. Unforgettable.
For anyone who wants a reprieve from the frenetic pace of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, a quick cab, Uber, or Lyft ride will bring you there. One Collins Diboll Circle, City Park Open 10 am to 6 pm, daily
