Poetry for Children! A Great Holiday Gift!

Children in my universe love poetry. In particular, they love my new book of poems: The Galloping Garbage Truck.

They love the “secret” messages (“My Two Dogs”...a poem about feet!). They love the friendship between the child and the garbageman (“The Galloping Garbage Truck”). Little girls feel a connection to “The Girl With the Bow in Her Hair”—whose challenges with her wild hair concludes with her loving herself. “Buttons” is a poem that encourages people to embrace the differences among people. There is a poem about a budding friendship between a kitten and a baby raccoon. Another poems longs for a Strawberry Moon. “Kale Salad” touts the benefits of eating vegetables. And so on...and so forth.

If you are looking for a book of poems for the little person in your life, I hope you will consider The Galloping Garbage Truck as a little book that packs in a wealth of positive, optimistic messages. From Kelsay Books...
