Harvest Yoga in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

Since I started practicing yoga in 2015 (with daily practices beginning in January of 2018), I have gone to many yoga studios. In addition to my “home” studio, I have practiced in places where I traveled: Placerville, California...Naples, Florida...Wellfleet, Massachusetts...Davidson and Charlotte, North Carolina...and elsewhere.

During the pandemic, I practiced at home while also missing the physical part of being in a studio.

What a pleasure it has been to return to a studio this year.

In the winter, I practice at Terra Sol Sanctuary in Wilmington, North Carolina. The space is gorgeous, and the teachers are fantastic. https://www.terrasolsanctuary.com/

During the remainder of the year, I now practice at Harvest Yoga and Wellness Studio in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. https://harvestyogaandwellness.com/

There is something about Harvest Yoga that touches my heart. Is it the owner/fellow practitioner, Nici? Yes, that’s part of it. She always makes me feel welcomed and appreciated. And she is focused on giving back to the community in a variety of ways.

Is my heart touched by the teachers? Yes, that’s part of it, too. Gina, with her honey voice...Lisa, with her gentle assists and healing hands...Jamie, who is a great teacher...Karina, who is one of the most inspiring teachers I’ve ever had...Dawn and her down-to-earth and friendly approach...Tracey, who makes even challenging poses seem doable.

Am I touched by others in my classes? Yes! I’ve met new people and become reacquainted with others who are back in the studio.

Mostly, I love the focus of Harvest Yoga, which is embodied in what Nici has to say in her profile:

My dream for HARVEST is for us to serve as a catalyst for women: To be a space where opportunities, resources, and tools can be gained. For us to hold space for women to be themselves unapologetically and, most importantly, to empower women to fully step into who they are meant to be.

At Harvest Yoga, I have come home. It is a great feeling as I continue to work beyond the shapes that my body takes in the poses...to make my yoga practice a part of my inner self.
